My name is Jackie Hutchings and I’m a recreational scuba diver. In 2007, while holidaying in the Caribbean, I had just one too many anxious diving trips.
You know that feeling when your gut tells you the dive operator is cutting corners but your head tells you it’ll be ok? It leaves you feeling uneasy, spoils the dive and leaves you feeling cheated. That was the motivation to build Scubadviser. We have over 7000 dive centres, operators and liveaboards listed with over 3000 reviews written by divers just like you.
So many businesses are built by people wanted to solve their own problems. I wanted a TripAdvisor for divers; a website where I could leave reviews of my diving experiences but also research my next diving trip, so, with my partner Rick, we built it.
